ASTM PIPES D (1785) SCHEDULE 40, 80 & 120
(1/2 inch - 8 inch) ASTM pipe standards are instrumental in specifying, testing, and evaluating the physical, mechanical, design, and installation requirements for plastic, polymeric, tubing, and fittings, including the seals, threads, and couplings that join them together. These plastic pipe standards help, product manufacturers, industrial processing plants, plumbing companies, and other users and producers to ensure proper and safe fabrication, assessment, installation, and utilization. These pipes are manufactured as per ASTM D 1785 standard and are available in SCH 40, 80 & 120 pressure classes.
FEATURES:
- Ready Availability
Pipes are available in schedule 40, 80 and 120 pressure classes readily with wall thickness from ½ inch to 8 inch, meeting the market requirement.
- Easy Handling and Installation
The handling and conveyance of the pipes becomes trouble free due to its light weight and the system assembly becomes much easier as it involves just one step solvent cementing process without requiring any threading, primer and lead pot.
- 100% Leak proof joints
A complete leak proof distribution system for water and various other chemicals like acids and strong minerals are ensured.
- Optimum flow rates
Along with having a smooth inner surface they also do not allow deposit formations helping in reducing the frictional loss and guaranteeing maximum flow rates. This also implies that the power consumption would be on the lower side.
- Resistance to Chemicals and Corrosion
Pipes offer outstanding resistance to most household chemicals and industrial liquids. They are also suitable in some sewage treatment plant applications as it stands up to the highly corrosive and abrasive liquids found in such systems.
- Cost Effective
Cost for operation and maintenance are considerably reduced with the superior quality and functional properties of the product.
- Durability
The pipes hold excellent strength that could withstand any loading and shipping damages. They also have significant resistance to breakage, chipping and wear, even at adverse weathers and low temperatures.
Advantages:
- Uncompromised quality standards
- Stronger, resilient and longer lasting
- Excellent corrosion and chemical resistance
- Hygienic and safe for carrying drinking water
- Unaffected by termites, fungus or bacteria
- No algae formation
- Bad conductor of electricity
- Minimum installation cost
- Minimum operation and maintenance cost
